Earlier this year we visited the National Forest Adventure Farm and took part in their successful world record attempt. This time we were invited back to see the farm at Christmas.
We tried out some of the Christmas activities. First we went to see the reindeer being fed. This was very popular and it was a bit of a struggle to see what was going on as a result, so it’s worth getting there early if you go. Next we headed off to Elf School. H really loved this and he joined in with all the actions that the elves were teaching the ‘pupils’. The grotto looked very festive.
After that we decided to explore outside in the lovely sunshine. H enjoyed playing skittles and crazy golf with Daddy and Grandad. Grandad just about claimed the crazy golf crown to justify the golf lessons he’s had. H is mad for crazy golf and whenever we see a course he has to have a go. No one tells you that when you have children you will end up playing crazy golf all the time do they? This time I was able to stand aside and allow someone else to have a go which was nice for a change.
After some lunch we headed back outside for some more fun. Mr Nine to Three Thirty and H had a go on the Formula 1 cars. Then another golf match for Grandad, Daddy and H started up. This time it was on the frisby golf course.
We had a lovely day for our visit, but you could still have a fun day in poor weather. This time H didn’t go into the indoor play area, but that’s an all weather option and most of the animals are in barns at this time of year.
