I’d not really thought about buying toiletries by post before. I guess living in a big city tends to spoil you a bit for choice and you know you can get hold of most of what you want, when you want it. However, there are one or two bits that are hard to get hold of or mean a special trip, like my husband’s special toothbrushes designed to get into those little gaps between teeth. So when Chemist Direct got in touch and asked me to place an order, I was interested to see that they sold toothbrushes sold and a wide range of other specialist items.
It got me thinking that it would be a lot easier to buy our toiletries online and save myself the hassle of looking around for the right thing. With free delivery on orders over £40 it need not cost any more, plus would save me time and petrol. The only drawbacks I’ve found so far are that they don’t stock big tubs of Astral cream. Astral is a real staple in this house and we all use it, but particularly me. The other thing was when I placed my order I ordered the wrong type of specialist toothbrush for Mr Nine to Three Thirty. I realised my mistake/was told I’d ordered the wrong thing quite soon afterwards, before my order was dispatched, but I couldn’t find a way to amend my order on the system. Delivery was fast and efficient though, so we soon had our items.
Another thing that I liked about Chemist Direct was the fact that I could also buy our cats’ specialist catfood and their flea treatment on the site. I’d not thought of looking on a chemist’s site for those things and it’s good to be able to have a new source of supply. It would be easy to combine pet supplies and toiletries in the same order to hit the £40 free delivery charge. I think Chemist Direct have just made my life a bit easier and I’ll be back.
