At the weekend we were invited to Cadbury World to try out their festive offering. It was the first really Christmassy thing we’d been to and we quickly got into the festive mood. We started off with a trip to Santa. H spent a bit of time filling Santa in on the Lego Ultra Agents sets and the Lego Ewok Village that he’s got his eye on. After posing for a piccie, we were given a small gift from Santa to send us on our way. There are signs along the way estimating queuing time which is useful when you are waiting at an attraction with young children. After Santa we stopped off at the 4D cinema which was a lot of fun and well worth fitting into your Cadbury World visit. It really felt like being on a roller coaster without all the tiresome going upside down stuff (my stomach is not a great fan of the big rides).
H had never been to see a pantomime and I’d been thinking it was about time I sorted out a performance for him to watch, so it was a real bonus to be able to go to the one at Cadbury World. This year the story is Snow White and it was very well done. The show lasts about half an hour and children can sit up close on the floor if they like. H loved it. It was good, silly fun and even the adults were laughing along.
Of course, there’s plenty to see and do at Cadbury World all year around. I’m slightly ashamed to say that this was our first visit. It’s always the way though isn’t it? You don’t visit the places on your own doorstep. That said I know that we will be going back again very soon as we have some tickets to use and it’s the sort of place that you can return to again and again. H is already plotting about the chocolate bars he’ll get given on his next visit. A very merry Cadbury World Christmas was had by all.
