Beefeater restaurants have launched a delicious menu for summer, packed full of family favourites as well as some innovative new dishes. Obviously Beefeater are famous for their steaks so there’s the ’74 signature steak and four new burgers have been added to the range, including the mega ‘Triple Stacked Burger’, which is a must for any meat lover, incorporating a 1/4lb steak burger, slow-cooked pulled beef and beef rashers.
We were asked to pop along to The Duck, Edgbaston and try the new menu out and as we love eating out as a family we were happy to oblige. I have fond memories of eating in Beefeater restaurants with my parents as a kid and it’s nice to be able to take H along in his turn. He picked from the Mr. Men and Little Miss menu, and we were pleased to see that children eat free at breakfasts and every Saturday. As we went on a Saturday his meal was free which is a real bonus. H enjoyed the activity book that was brought out to him too and it kept him entertained while we waited for our food.
We started off with a sharing platter between the three of us. The chicken wings were very spicy and H couldn’t manage those. There was plenty to share and a nice selection. I loved the blue cheese sauce, in fact I think I might have developed a taste for blue cheese as I was never very keen previously.I had a traditional steak for my main meal. It was tasty and cooked to my specifications. H had fish and chips from the children’s menu, but my husband decided to try one of the new burgers from the menu.He went for the mega ‘Triple Stacked Burger’ and very tasty it was too.
We really enjoyed our meal and were impressed by the service. Clearly there were a lot of Saturday lunchtime regulars coming in for a meal which says a lot of customer satisfaction and I have friends who go to the Beefeater very regularly and really enjoy it.
