I can’t have the only boy who is excited about the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie which is coming out in a few weeks time. It’s been given a 12A certificate, which will mean that we’ll have to carefully consider when our 8-year-old will be watching the film. But that doesn’t stop him been very interested in the characters and the stories though. He watches trailers on YouTube and is interested in the graphic novels. There are some very cool characters and lots of exciting action.
Ravensburger have brought out a new Avengers jigsaw and H was very excited by its arrival in the house. It’s suitable for children aged 6+ and it has 100 pieces. As you’d expect from Ravensburger, the pieces are good quality and are easy to fit together. The jigsaw is challenging enough to occupy a 8-year-old former jigsaw fanatic – there are some areas which a bit trickier to puzzle out and they provide the intellectual challenge.
H clearly knew all about the characters and I learnt a lot about the Avengers, while he was doing the jigsaw (it turns out this isn’t the same as the Avengers series which starred Diana Rigg at all). The puzzle features many of H’s favourite Avenger characters, including Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk, Captain America and Thor. I think H’s interest in the Avengers is only going to grow.
