There’s nothing quite like getting out in the woods and running around in the leaves in the autumn. There’s something about the sound the leaves make as you move your feet through them. This autumn has been very dry mostly and the leaves have been perfect for rustling through or picking up and throwing in the air. The autumn colours have been better than ever this year too I think. So it’s been the perfect time to get out and have some adventures.
This year we have been GORE-TEX Big Days Shoes Ambassadors and H was keen to put his latest shoes to the test. These are from the ECCO Urban Snowboarder range and they look very cool – H is becoming ever more aware of what he wears, so it’s important that they look cool and he feels happy with them. Whilst I love that the shoes look great, I’m more impressed by their clever design with waterproof, highly breathable materials, which is perfect as we move from autumn to winter and need some protection against the British winter.
It’s not just running around to be done in the woods through. There are plenty more challenges for H and his trusty shoes. Climbing is always a bit of a favourite and there are some great trees and tree trucks to climb over and balance on. The grips on the soles of his shoes seem to be effective so he wasn’t slipping and was able to climb securely.
We love the easy to fasten velcro straps. H struggles a bit with the strength of his hand muscles, so it’s good to have easy to put on shoes without fiddly laces for him. These are European size 37, so it’s great to be able to get velcro fastenings for the bigger sizes.
