Recently we have been decorating an attic room. It’s quite a big room, but it does have a lot of sloping ceiling and quite a small window, so it isn’t the lightest. Since we finished decorating and got the carpet fitted though, we have run out of steam a little and it seemed like time to finish it off and make full use of it.
One of the key things that the room was missing was a blind for the window. We hope to use this room as an occasional spare room as the sofa is a sofa bed, but anyone sleeping there will want to be able to darken the room. Also, I do think that blinds and curtains add something to a room and make it feel more homely, plus they can bring in another colour or another pattern and provide some extra visual interest.
Hillarys got in touch to say would we like to try out one of their blinds and it seemed really serendipitous. We followed the easy instructions on the website to measure up for our blind and browsed through the extensive selection of blinds to find something suitable. It’s quite a masculine sort of room, so we opted for some horizontal strips.
Here’s our blind in place. It went up really easily and I think it looks really smart. It’s made from good quality materials, so the room is pretty dark when the blind is down. I’ve been really impressed with the whole process: the range available; the ease of ordering; speed of delivery; ease of fitting; and quality of blind.
