A lazy weekend for us really. H didn’t get out of his pyjamas all day Saturday and for him I think that sort of day is one of the best. It’s not that he does nothing all day, it’s just that he’s comfortable doing it. This weekend we did a little handwriting practice for National Handwriting Day.
There was more pyjama fun through the week too as we were testing out an Emma mattress. At the moment H is wanting to read in my bed as part of his bedtime routine and I think the comfy mattress has something to do with it.
This week has been quite a quiet week and I’ve been grateful for it. It does mean that I don’t have too many pictures to share though and I haven’t really taken any outdoors. It’s been so cold and I suppose I could have ventured out to explore the winter wonderland with my camera, but I haven’t. Maybe I should do that next week if we have a frost.
H seems well settled into the school term and our new routine now. He’s given up his tennis lessons, which is a shame, but his heart wasn’t really in it. He just does cubs and swimming now, which feels like enough. It’s a bit of a pain this term that he is now going swimming with the school and it’s on the same day as his normal swimming lesson. School swimming isn’t very popular with H: all along we’ve had problems with them recognising his ability in the pool. He’s quite a determined little swimmer, but his style doesn’t always look confident and in school swimming they tend to make quick judgements (probably because there are so many kids and they don’t see them for long). He isn’t the only one though that doesn’t like it. There are three of his class that go to the same swimming school as him. One of them asked the other two which they preferred, and the overwhelming answer was the outside of school lessons.
