It’s just been so grey hasn’t it this week? Until yesterday I was thinking that the sun had forgotten us, and it was quite a relief to have it come back to pay a visit.
So what have we been up to this week? In truth it’s been quite a quiet week and I’ve been busy beavering away apart from taking time out for lunch with a friend on Wednesday. I’ve been helping my brother with his tax return (nightmare!) and my mother navigate the internet, plus all the usual jobs and errands of family life. H and I had a pizza night with Chicago Town on Monday: H even dressed up for the occasion.
H and his pal Bracken are getting ever closer. They are firm friends now and she even slept with him last night. I’m still a bit worried about her waking H up in the morning as a way of getting an early breakfast (she certainly tries that with me), so I remove her before I go to sleep. I like this picture of her joining H for a bedtime reading session.
H’s bed is a popular spot for both cats to sleep anyway and I think they must miss him when he’s not around. They look very at home amongst the dinosaurs.
Dawn watching is something that’s usually good at this time of year as the timing is very civilised and I get a better view than I do in the summer because of where the sun is in the sky, but this week it has been a bit muted because of all the greyness. This is one of the best of the sunrises I saw this week though.
